So just found out today about these sustainability tours of Heritage Lanes building and precinct at 80 Ann Street in Brisbane which is the first in the world to achieve a 6 Star Green Star. Apparently has some amazing tech for cooling the building etc. The sustainability tour is on Tuesdays 11am - so will take some planning ahead with annual leave for me to go on one but I definitely will. Also has a public art collection. Anyway I though it may interest

Interesting. The ACF has offices in that building. Penny and I went in for a meeting and I realised that the building is on the site where I used to work in the 1970s. I was puzzled by the history page where they say it used to be a market and wondered if I was remembering wrongly but eventually found evidence of my old building at 62-80 Ann Street. https://archive.sclqld.org.au/qjudgment/2001/ICQ01-020.pdf

Interesting omission. Now I know why they didn't retain any of the old building but I guess a building where people are exposed to asbestos and secondary cigarette smoking doesn't fit their storyline. How things have changed. Must go on a tour.
