10 December 2023: BCC Verge Garden Guidelines: What they are and why they matter.
For our last monthly meeting, we are joining with Keep Sandgate Beautiful Association to talk about BCC policy and how to keep a verge project on track.
The room at Bracken Ridge Library is booked - thanks Penny.
I’ve just sent out the email through ACF Supporterbase.

Keep Sandgate Beautiful Association (KSBA) is starting a group verge project so this is a joint event and the leaders of that project will be attending. For group projects to be successful, it’s very important that the project leaders understand the council policy and can explain the reasons behind the way we plant native verge gardens with council street trees to their members.
There are people who are part of several groups so this is good for building the network outwards.
We will concentrate on Brisbane City Council guidelines because that is their council area. People in Moreton Bay City are welcome but need to keep in mind that their policy is different.
Please invite your friends and colleagues who may be interested, and remember to RSVP to help with planning afternoon tea, etc.
